Yesss.
We got in our first band meeting today.
Sadly, Kristen (manager) and Alan (drums) couldn’t make it. Kristen had to do the whole process before you can get confirmed thing, so she had an excuse. Alan, on the other hand, was talking to his girlfriend. And excuse us, WE have committment problems? You’re the one who ditched a simple dinner out to Friday’s to talk to your girlfriend. Yes, you’re in love and whatnot, but LET HER GO FOR AN HOUR OR TWO so we can discuss our future!
ANYWAYS. We got a lot done. We wrote out our three favorite bands (Kristen), our goals (Kristen), our band roster, guest list (me), crew (me), and what we wanted to sound like.
OH. And names. My favorite so far is 46 Broken Lights. And there’s a story behind it.
We ate at TGI Friday’s, located on Route 46. While we were doing our stuff, Natalie pointed out a broken light outside that kept on turning on and off. It kept on distracting us from our conversation.
But overall, it went well.
We’re pretty much set. We have our entire band, a roadie/techie, a photographer, marketing team, a guest list (screamos, beatboxers, etc.), a bunch of ideas, and a hell of a lot of material. Our only problem: WHERE THE FUCK WILL WE PRACTICE?
