My mother needs to shut up about my grades.
But you know what?
Fuck her.
I don’t need her shit.
Now that I’m missing both Warped AND Six Flags (No William and Travie :[ ), that just makes me more determined to become a better guitarist, bassist, composer, and musician overall so I won’t have to see them in concert, but actually be labelmates with them and know each person personally.
I really hope we can find a guitarist ASAP: we’re leaning towards a four-person group, and so far it’s me on bass (most likely), Natalia on vocals, and the rather unknown Jared on drumset.
I’m gonna compare us to Panic! At The Disco (easiest band, since they have the same lineup when Ryan and Jon were still in the band).
Natalia will be like Brendon Urie: play an instrument when needed; otherwise, stick with singing.
I’m gonna be a mix of Ryan and Jon: I’m bassing (until further notice) and singing major backup vocals.
_______ (guitar guy) have the other halves of Ryan and John: Guitaring (until further notice) and singing minor backup vocals.
Jared’s going to be Spencer: drums, plain and simple.
I want this to work soooooooooo much.
We all have a passion for music, and Natalia and I want to make it our career more than anything else in the world.
Hopefully, we’ll have a decent demo and/or EP by mid-junior year and have played a couple minor shows (don’t want to be TOO inexperienced).
We’re going to send in our demo/EP to a bunch of labels - seven to ten of them?, including Fueled by Ramen and Decaydence - and see if we’re accepted to anything.
Basically, it’s like college applications, only it’s much simpler and no SATs are involved.
Whatever we can find, we’re taking it - especially from FBR/DD.
Hopefully, Jared and soon-to-be guitarist won’t mind.
I’d love to be labelmates with Gabe, Brendon, Patrick, Pete, William, and Travie.
Millionaires are the downside, but everyone else outweighs them.
Sucks Ryan and Jon won’t be there anymore. :/
Nonetheless, I’m going to suck it up and we’re going to become musicians, whether my parents like it or not.
