I’m gonna take my mind off volleyball right now and write my follow-up to Natalia’s post.
Personal goals: to (be)…
- taken seriously as a band with a female lead AND a female bassist.
- signed to a really good label, aka Fueled By Ramen and/or Decaydence, preferably both.
- signed right out of high school? Sounds good.
- inspire to others to make music.
- better at bass. I’m thinking about making levels, like we have levels for drummers (Barker List, Hurley List, etc.).
- have an E.P. out by spring and send it out to Pete Wentz (or anyone related to FBR/DD).
- not have a repeat of Alex or Alan. Please, no more drama.
Okay, with the E.P., it’s gotta be short and sweet. All killer, no filler (haha Sum 41 reference). Agreed with Natalia, 5-7 songs, but let’s go with 6 to be fair. We have Sway and Kiss Me Thru the Phone as #1 and #2, but I don’t think cover covers are good, aka Umbrella by All Time Low. Again, agreed with Natalie - save those for our concerts. I’m thinking back to The Maine’s EP, where they had 6 songs, 5 original and 1 cover (I Wanna Love You by Akon). Natalia and I are working on Another Time, Another Place, so that’d be #3.
