I’m a kind of girl that wants every second to count. Shopping is a good example. Most chicks are content with window shopping, but for me, there’s no point in that if you’re not going to buy anything. That’s just a waste of time if you can’t buy anything, so why not spend that time on something more productive?
This applies to the band. Every minute at every practice counts. Sure, we can fool around, but we have to be productive at the same time, like blink-182 or Cobra Starship. If we don’t get anything done, then what was the point of practice? I’m not expecting us to finish a song per practice (though that’d be nice), but I want to cover a lot, even if it’s just us playing around with different chords or played through practice with covers.
Jared’s helping us in our hunt for a guitarist/bassist. We really need to get started on our EP as soon as possible, probably when school starts? I know that there’s a recording studio in Morristown, so that’s quite convenient for us, a 15 minute drive tops. Renting might be an issue, but if we can’t do that, we could always borrow Beth’s recording equiptment. And if that doesn’t happen, we could always just use Sonar/Cakewalk and send a rough copy in.
I just want us to get the ball rollin’.
